Dogtooth daisy (also known as sneezeweed and Helen’s flower) is a prolific plant with bright yellow flowers from late summer through frost. The numerous daisy-like flowers have distinctive tooth-like indentations at the ends of each petal. The name “sneezeweed” associated with this plant is based on the former use of its dried leaves to make snuff, which was inhaled to cause sneezing. It is considered a favorite plant of bees.
