Jacob's Ladder (Polemonium reptans)

Jacob's ladder grows well in partial to full shade and produces clusters of small, pale blue, bell-shaped flowers that bloom in spring. Jacob’s ladder attracts butterflies and bees and is generally deer resistant. 

The dried roots were historically used by some Native American groups as a remedy for various ailments, including skin conditions and poisonous bites.
