A narrow-leaved species of mountain mint with an upright habit reaching up to 3' tall and growing about 2' wide. Blooms are small, white clusters, which attract animals of all kinds. Mountain mint is a favorite for native bee species, as well as butterflies. Has a minty aroma when the leaves are crushed.
Historically, it was used by some Native American tribes as a remedy for colds, fevers, and general pain.
