Virginia Spiderwort (Tradescantia virginiana)

Virginia spiderwort is a hardy native wildflower known for its delicate, three-petaled blooms in shades of blue, violet, or purple, each with striking yellow stamens. The flowers open in the morning and close by afternoon, with new blossoms appearing daily from late spring through early summer. It attracts bees and other pollinators and is well-suited to native plant gardens, rain gardens, and restoration areas due to its adaptability and low maintenance needs.

Native Americans historically used the plant to treat stomach issues and insect bites.
