Our annual Gala & Auction brings together members of our community who are passionate about Lake Hopatcong, to have fun and raise funds critically needed to protect the environment and enhance the experience on and around Lake Hopatcong.


 

Please join us for our Sunset Soirée Gala & Auction on Thursday, July 16, at 6 pm at Stone Water!

You are invited to an evening celebrating and supporting New Jersey's largest lake! Let the colors of a summer sunset, with hues of orange, pink, purple, and blue, inspire your festive attire on the evening of July 16. Fabulous food and drink, exciting auctions and raffles, and camaraderie around our shared cause – a vibrant and healthy Lake Hopatcong – await you!

Your ticket includes a delicious meal of gourmet dinner stations and passed hors d'oeuvres. There will be one hour of open bar from 6-7 pm (cash bar for the remainder of the evening). Our event is “cocktail” style, with unassigned seating scattered around Stonewater’s beautiful dining rooms, bar, and deck. Individual tickets are $165.

For those looking to make a bigger impact through their ticket purchase, consider purchasing a "Gala Duo" ticket package for $400 which includes all of the above, for two, plus two golden drink tickets (free drink at participating restaurants on another night), special pin recognition, and acknowledgement in our digital ad journal.

    Interested in placing an ad? Our advertising journal has gone digital this year! Your logo, name, artwork, and/or message will roll on our slideshow at the event, all evening.   • Online Auction

    Our lake-famous auction of over fifty unique items and experiences is virtual again this year, opening on July 10 and closing at 9:30 pm the evening of the event. Bid from the comfort of your couch using any device. You do not have to be present to bid or win! For those attending the gala, bid helpers will be available to help you place bids.

    Register early, so you are ready to browse and bid! This year’s auction features an exciting variety: vacation packages, resort stays, historic tours, golf foursomes, on-water adventures, and more! Please note: a credit card on file is not required to browse.

  • Split the Pot Raffle

    The Lake Hopatcong Foundation’s Split the Pot Raffle is back, and so are your increased chances of winning! Last year, we had more winners than ever, and we are repeating the fun in 2026.

    Here’s what you could take home:

    1st Prize (1 winner) 25%, up to $7,500!

    2nd Prize (2 winners) 7.5% each, up to $2,250!

    3rd Prize (3 winners) 3.33% each, up to $1,000!

    Tickets are $100 each and only 300 tickets will be sold - increasing your odds of winning big!


    You can purchase your ticket(s) by:

    • Calling us at 973-663-2500. If we miss you, leave your name and number at Caitlin’s extension, and we’ll call you back!
    • Visiting the Lake Hopatcong Foundation building at 125 Landing Rd. in Landing, NJ – generally open Monday through Friday, between 9 am - 4 pm (give us a call before you head over!).

    The winning raffle tickets will be drawn the night of our Sunset Soirée Gala & Auction on Thursday, July 16, at 9:30 pm at Stone Water. You need not be present to win! We will call you with the good news!

    Q. Will paper tickets be mailed?
    A. No, no paper tickets will be mailed. All attendees will be in a list, at check-in.

    Q. What is the attire for the event?
    A.: Think summertime cocktail party: summer dresses and light pants with button-down or collared shirts. Some may choose to incorporate a blazer. Dressing in sunset colors is encouraged!

    Q. Can I boat to the event?
    A. Yes. Limited dock space is available (around 15 spaces) on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests coming by boat will be expected to dock and secure their own vessel.

    Q. Is there valet car parking?
    A. Yes, complimentary valet car parking will be provided by Stone Water.

    Q. Is there reserved/assigned seating?
    A. No. Our gala is a less formal, cocktail-style event. Tables and chairs will be scattered around the dining rooms and deck, and we encourage everyone to mix and mingle!

    Q. When does the auction open and close?
    A. The auction opens for bidding on July 10 and closes automatically on the evening of July 17 at 9:30 pm.

    Q. Do I have to attend the gala to participate in the auction?
    A. No - bids can be placed from anywhere using a computer, tablet, or mobile device. You must register to browse and enter a credit card to bid.

    Q. Will there be paper bid sheets at the event?
    A. No, all bidding will be done by phone. Bid Helpers will be available to help you bid and/or place a bid on your behalf.

    Q. What happens if I have the winning bid?
    A. Your phone will notify you if you are the winning bidder. You can also confirm your bid at check-out. If you attend the event, you can pick up your item at the check-out table. If you are not attending the event, we will call you to arrange pick-up of your item on Friday, July 17.

    Q. Do I need to check-in and check-out?
    A. Yes, checking in allows us to confirm your attendance as well as your participation in the auction. Only those who win an auction item or the Split-the-Pot raffle need to check-out.

    Q. Can I purchase a Split-the-Pot raffle ticket online?
    A. No, New Jersey law currently prohibits online raffle sales. To purchase, visit us at 125 Landing Road, Landing or call us at 973-663-2500.

    Q. What’s the deadline to become a sponsor or purchase an ad in the digital journal?
    A. We must receive all payment and ad artwork by July 1.

    Q. Can individuals sponsor the gala?
    A. Yes! Both individuals and businesses are welcome to sponsor the gala and help us maximize funds raised to support a vibrant and healthy lake and community.

    Q. When is the deadline to purchase a ticket to the event?
    A. Please purchase your tickets by July 11. Tickets sell out quickly! In case of a sellout, we will initiate a waitlist and you will be contacted only if space becomes available.

    Q. Is my ticket purchase tax-deductible?
    A. Your ticket is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law, less the fair market value (FMV), which is listed on your confirmation email. Please consult with your accountant and/or tax professional regarding tax-deductible donations.
