Boat Shrink Wrap Recycling Drop-Off Day

The Lake Hopatcong Foundation, Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority, Sussex County Municipal Utilities Authority, Roxbury Clean Communities, and Jefferson Township have partnered with UltraPoly, a Pennsylvania-based company, to offer free shrink-wrap recycling. Boaters around Lake Hopatcong can bring their properly prepared shrink-wrap for recycling to the Jefferson Health Center on May 2 from 9 am to noon.

How to prepare your shrink-wrap for recycling:

• Ensure the shrink wrap is clean and dry.
• Remove all wood, straps, zippers, vents, ropes, tape, and other attachments.
• Bundle and tie the shrink-wrap tightly using excess wrap.
• Place only shrink-wrap material in the designated container.
