Every drop counted!

December 29, 2022| Fundraising, People

By: Caitlin Doran

The last week of the year is a special time for not-for-profit organizations. It’s a time to reflect on all that has been accomplished over twelve months, a time to chart a course for the twelve months ahead, and statistically, it’s a time of great generosity, when a large percentage of donors give a gift to support the causes for which they care deeply.

In November, we started our Every Drop Counts campaign, putting a drop on our map for each gift we received through the end of the year. With two days still to go before we close the books on 2022, we are proud to announce that we’ve received 208 donations! Large or small, each gift makes an impact, and we hope by using a simple map of our lake, we were able to demonstrate that, together, our impact is great.

If you support active stewardship of our lake; an award-winning field trip program; hands-on educational cruises; more trails, hiking, and paddling opportunities; free programs at the historic Lake Hopatcong Station; community days, like the Lake Hopatcong Block Party; and strong advocacy that results in more dollars and resources coming to Lake Hopatcong, there is still time to give a gift and make your drop count!

Only two days left to make a tax-deductible contribution in 2022. Thank you for considering a gift that supports our lake and community, and to everyone who has made a gift to us already, now or earlier in the year, we say thank you so much!
