Explore the Lake Hopatcong Block Party: A Fun-Filled Children’s Scavenger Hunt!

March 28, 2025| Community, Events, Recreation

By: Kari Constantine

The 2025 Lake Hopatcong Block Party is just around the corner, and there’s no shortage of fun activities for the whole family! This week, we’re shining the spotlight on one event that’s sure to delight young adventurers- the Children’s Scavenger Hunt!

This exciting scavenger hunt is designed to keep kids engaged as they explore the festivities of the Block Party. It’s an enjoyable blend of fun and learning, encouraging children to discover the wide variety of booths and activities scattered throughout the event.

How It Works:
1.  Pick Up a Scavenger Hunt Card

The journey begins at the Children’s Activity Area (Zone B, which is to the right when facing the lake) or you can also pick up a card at any of the participating booths. Your scavenger hunt card will feature eight symbols your child needs to find.

2.  Explore & Discover

As your little explorer makes their way through the event, they’ll visit various booths. Some will offer a brief activity or provide interesting facts and information to spark curiosity and engage their minds. It’s a great way for your child to learn something new while having a blast!

3.  Complete the Hunt

Once all eight symbols are found, head back to the Children’s Activity Area (Zone B) or stop by the Lake Hopatcong Foundation booth located in the pavilion to return your completed scavenger hunt card.

4.  Claim Your Prize

For completing the hunt, your child will be rewarded with a special coupon voucher from Jefferson Dairy- perfect for a tasty treat to keep the fun going! Who can resist a delicious treat after a day full of adventure?

Whether you're a first-time visitor or a longtime attendee of the Lake Hopatcong Block Party, the Children’s Scavenger Hunt is a must-do activity that promises lots of fun and exciting discoveries for your little ones. Be sure to grab your scavenger hunt card, start exploring, and don’t forget to pick up your prize at the end!

The Lake Hopatcong Block Party has something for everyone, but for the younger crowd, the scavenger hunt is the perfect way to make the most of this incredible event.

We’re incredibly grateful to our longtime scavenger hunt stops for helping make this activity such a success year after year. A special shout-out goes to the fantastic vendors that are part of this year’s hunt: Coast Guard Auxiliary, Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club, Lake Hopatcong Museum, Roxbury Fire Department Co #2, Roxbury Police Department, LHF Floating Classroom, Cindy Levitt-Amandor with Mary Kay, and Knee Deep Club. These organizations and individuals have been an essential part of the Block Party, offering exciting lessons in everything from knot tying and boating safety to fire safety and environmental education. Their hands-on activities are not only fun but also provide valuable learning experiences that children and families will remember long after the event ends. We can’t wait for you to visit each stop and see what they have in store this year!

See you at the Block Party!
