This past Tuesday we, along with many other nonprofit organizations, highlighted our need for financial support and the many ways that support makes a difference to the work we do.
Giving Tuesday, the annual day of generosity following Thanksgiving, is an opportunity for us all to effect positive change in our communities and support the causes we care about. I’m thrilled to report that protecting the environment and enhancing the experience on and around Lake Hopatcong, now and for future generations, is a cause that resonated with many of you. We’d like to thank everyone who supported us on Giving Tuesday, as well as in these final months of the year, as we strive to raise $65K by December 31, to continue our environmental, educational, community, and advocacy programs. As of this writing, we have raised 44% of this goal, because of you. You are the reason why we’ve taken to calling this day “Grateful Friday!”
If our efforts to keep Lake Hopatcong and the surrounding community healthy and vibrant resonate with you, but you missed Giving Tuesday, we still welcome your support! When making your donation, you’ll have the opportunity to tell us a little bit of your Lake Hopatcong story – the why and how you connect to New Jersey’s largest lake, and the reason why you choose to help protect it. We’re excited to feature the different Lake Hopatcong stories submitted to us throughout the month of December, so stay tuned!
Whether you visit here, live here, or know someone special who does, each of us has a connection to Lake Hopatcong and a Lake Hopatcong story. Giving Tuesday showed us that many people care about this special place, and we’re beyond grateful for your confidence in our efforts to make Lake Hopatcong the best it can be, now and for the future.
THANK YOU AGAIN for helping us write Lake Hopatcong’s next chapter.
