Welcome, Sarah!

June 27, 2025| People

By: Andrew Dollberg

We’re excited to welcome Sarah Allen to the Lake Hopatcong Foundation team as our summer intern!

Sarah is a senior at The College of New Jersey, where she’s pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mass media and social media communications. A fifth-generation Lake Hopatcong resident, she grew up surrounded by extended family who still live in the area. Her appreciation for community and environmental stewardship was shaped by life on the lake and the values passed down through generations.

The Lake Hopatcong Foundation has long been a part of Sarah’s family story. Her parents, grandmother, and great-grandfather were all founding members, and both her brother and sister have volunteered with us. Now, Sarah feels it’s the perfect time for her to give back.

In just a few short weeks, she’s already made meaningful contributions to our membership program and data entry efforts, as well as helping prepare for our upcoming Gala & Auction. She’s quickly become a valued part of the team.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys photography, swimming and relaxing on the lake, listening to podcasts, and spending time with friends.

We hope you’ll have the chance to meet her and say hello.

Welcome, Sarah!
