A Father’s Day hike along Cowboy Creek

June 09, 2021| Recreation

By: Donna Macalle-Holly

Celebrate Father’s Day with a two-hour hike along the Cowboy Creek section of the Lake Hopatcong Trail in Hopatcong. The hike will be led by Rob Bond, a trail maintainer for the Lake Hopatcong Foundation and the NY-NJ Trail Conference. Rob spent the first year of his retirement re-connecting with local treasures by hiking every section of the Lake Hopatcong Trail and the Highlands Trail around Lake Hopatcong in 2020. He aspires to spreading the word about existing trail systems in the area and assisting with opportunities to expand trails, including establishing clearly marked trail loops.
