All aboard! Step into a world of miniature magic as model trains make their way through festive holiday scenes inside our very own historic Lake Hopatcong Station. This display, crafted and operated by the NJ Hi-Railers, one of the region’s premier model train organizations, promises wonder, nostalgia, and fun for train lovers of all ages.
Immerse yourself in both history and spirit of the season as the station transforms into a festive gathering place for families, hobbyists, and neighbors. Whether you’re a lifelong rail enthusiast or simply looking for a joyful holiday outing, this display offers a unique opportunity to connect, explore, and experience the charm of model railroading inside a beautifully preserved historic station.
This display is free to visit. Donations are always welcome. In the spirit of the season, we are also collecting unexpired, non-perishable food items to support local food pantries and assist families in our community.
The NJ Hi-Railers are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) model train organization based in Boonton, New Jersey, dedicated to celebrating the history, craftsmanship, and community of model railroading. Founded in 2005, the club provides a space for members to run trains, build layouts, preserve railroad heritage, and develop friendships through hands-on collaboration. The organization also accepts donations of trains, memorabilia, and related materials in support of their educational mission.
