This Saturday would have been the seventh annual Lake Hopatcong Block Party, a day that brings visitors together with businesses, non-profit organizations, community groups, crafters, and food vendors to kick off the summer season and celebrate all facets of Lake Hopatcong life. The Block Party is a special day for us and many people in the Lake Hopatcong community, and we were certainly saddened to have to postpone due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we do hope our community is staying safe and doing well.
We are pleased to announce that we have secured a new date for a fall Lake Hopatcong Block Party to be held on Saturday, October 10. This new date falls on the same weekend as our annual Lake Loop, scheduled for Sunday, October 11, creating an exciting weekend with multiple ways to bring the community together to enjoy and support New Jersey's largest lake. Two days, two events, one great cause!
We will, of course, continue to monitor CDC and state restrictions and recommendations as we proceed with planning for both events.
