Shop Our Native Plant Sale!

April 25, 2025| Environment, Events

By: Holly Odgers

Although online ordering has closed for our 2025 native plant sale, approximately 150 plants remain—including colorful favorites like New England aster, wild indigo, and eastern meadow blazing star! These will be available for purchase on Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lake Hopatcong Foundation, 125 Landing Road, Landing. Hope to see you there!

Looking to make a positive impact this spring? Our annual Native Plant Sale is a great way to support local ecosystems while adding low-maintenance beauty to your outdoor spaces. Now in its ninth year, the sale features more than 50 species, all native to New Jersey. Native plants help pollinators thrive, protect water quality, and enhance biodiversity—every garden makes a difference!

Online ordering is now open at LHFplantsale.givesmart.com and will remain available through 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 1. Orders can be picked up on Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lake Hopatcong Foundation, 125 Landing Road, Landing.

You’ll find returning favorites like asters, black-eyed Susans, cardinal flowers, and phlox, along with lesser-known varieties like wingstem and bunchberry. New additions to this year’s sale include colorful options like rose coreopsis and blue flag iris.

Plants will be provided as well-rooted seedlings in quart containers unless otherwise noted. They are sourced from trusted nurseries, including Well-Sweep Herb Farm, Prairie Nursery, and Catskill Native Nursery.

Native plants play a key role in supporting pollinators and wildlife while improving soil and water health. Because they’re adapted to our region’s climate, they often require less water, fertilizer, and maintenance than non-native species.

Whether you're a seasoned native plant enthusiast or just getting started, we hope you’ll consider adding some to your landscape this spring!

Online ordering is now closed.
