Native plant sale this Saturday

May 06, 2022| Community, Environment

By: Holly Odgers

The response to our 6th annual native plant sale has been tremendous and we are thrilled!

If you missed the online ordering, or if you still have your eye on some additional native plants, we will be holding an in-person sale for our remaining plants (we have about 100!) from 9 am to noon on Saturday, May 7, at the LHF Environmental & Cultural Center, 125 Landing Road, Landing. For all who purchased plants online, your plants have been gathered and are awaiting pick up during the same time, date, and place above.

Native plants are important for healthy populations of birds, native bees, butterflies, bats, and many mammals.  In addition, native plants have deeper root systems, which effectively hold soil in place and help filter out pollution from stormwater runoff, protecting our lake.

So, stop by and grab some native perennials for your yard or garden!
