Community Program: Plants & Pollinators, an Invasive Species & Bee Abode Workshop

June 05, 2025| Community, Education, Environment, Events

By: Patrick Krudop

Wait—aren’t all plants the same?

Join Watershed Ambassador Liv Stettler to explore the key differences between native and invasive plants, why it matters for New Jersey’s natural spaces, and what you can do to help create a more resilient ecosystem. Plus, build your own simple “bee abode” to take home and create habitat for native pollinators! All ages are welcome.

Program Details

·       Thursday, June 26 at 7 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm)

·       Lake Hopatcong Foundation, 125 Landing Road, Landing, NJ

·       All ages are welcome

·       FREE - donations are appreciated

Program Presenter

Liv Stettler is a Watershed Ambassador with the NJ Watershed Ambassadors Program (NJWAP), and serves the communities of the Musconetcong, Pequest, and Paulins Kill watersheds. She engages community members in stewardship projects like litter cleanups, invasive species removals, and stream monitoring trainings. Environmental education, community outreach, and ecosystem stewardship are pillars of the NJWAP Program.

This program has concluded, and registration is now closed.
