Celebrating Caitlin Doran, Our Rising Star

We are thrilled to share some exciting news about a familiar face at the Lake Hopatcong Foundation. Our Development Director, Caitlin Doran, was recently honored with the Women in Business Rising Star Award in the Non-Profit category from the Morris County Chamber of Commerce. The award was presented during the Chamber’s Women in Business celebration on March 6, 2026, at the Park Avenue Club.

The Rising Star Award recognizes young professionals whose early accomplishments mark them as future leaders. Caitlin was selected for her professionalism, cultural competence, and strong commitment to community engagement, and for those who know her, the honor comes as no surprise.

Caitlin joined the Foundation in March 2020 as Development Associate, bringing enthusiasm and heart. She quickly connected with donors, partners, and the community, keeping our work moving forward during a challenging time. Within her first year, Caitlin stepped up as Development Director, guiding fundraising that protects the lake, supports environmental education, and creates programs that connect the community.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Caitlin has a special talent for bringing people together around our mission. Her warmth, positivity, and genuine enthusiasm make others feel welcome and excited to be involved. Staff, board members, volunteers, and donors alike enjoy working with her and being part of the energy she brings to everything she does.

That combination of dedication, leadership, and spirit is exactly what makes Caitlin a true Rising Star. We are incredibly proud to see her recognized by the Morris County business community and grateful to have her as part of the Lake Hopatcong Foundation team.
