B.Y.O.Bag and Shop ‘Til You Drop at the Block Party!

April 09, 2026| Community, Events

By: Caitlin Doran

Between the Passport Adventure program and Children’s Scavenger Hunt, free boat rides aboard Miss Lotta and Bridge Marina’s pontoons, and our brand-new Touch-a-Truck area, there will be plenty to do at this year’s Lake Hopatcong Block Party! And with nearly 200 vendors expected at this year’s event – many of which are local businesses, crafters, and artisans – don’t forget to bring your reusable shopping bags and add lots of shopping to that list!

This year’s Block Party has it all for sale: handcrafted cutting boards and bird houses, homemade soaps and bath products, ceramics, jewelry, decorative wreaths, professional photos, hand-knit and crochet treasures, macrame accessories, handbags, a pop-up bookstore, wood-burned goodies, and lake-themed everything!

And then there are things that don’t quite fit in a shopping bag: electric boats, jet skis, docks and boat lifts, home water filtration systems, gutter protection, kitchen remodels, and artisan furniture – just to name a few!

You’ll also want to save some “dough” and try out as many of the 15 food vendors – located in the food court and scattered around Zones A and B – as you can! Maybe, start your adventure in front of the Pavilion with a hot or iced coffee from Dunkin’!

Beyond supporting local businesses (along with businesses that are traveling from as far as New York and Pennsylvania to join us), you can support several nonprofit organizations that will be in attendance, too: environmental and arts organizations, dog rescues, historical associations, an astronomy club, a local antique boat society chapter, and more.

A complete list of the 2026 Lake Hopatcong Block Party vendors is available on our website. Please join us in welcoming them all to Hopatcong State Park on Saturday, May 16. Here’s wishing you happy strolling, discovering, and shopping!
