Registration is officially open for our second Virtual Lake Loop Challenge! Back by popular demand, this reimagining of our annual Lake Loop event will celebrate Lake Hopatcong as a recreational resource, while we come together virtually and get active for a combined 2,021 hours/miles and raise $50,000 to support our mission of protecting the lake environment and enhancing the lake experience, for all. Let’s challenge ourselves, cheer each other on, and have fun, while supporting a common cause: a vibrant, healthy Lake Hopatcong!
Each week until October 8, we’ll include registrants in a drawing to win a prize! Winning in the first round of registration does NOT preclude you from winning in the following rounds, so register early and increase your chances of winning more prizes!
Register this week and you could possibly win: FREE admission for four (4) to FLG X New Jersey’s Adventure Course!

You can set your own activity and fundraising goals and do whatever you like, whenever you like, from October 8-15. Our RunSignUp page is where you will register, personalize your fundraising page, and log your activity (walking, running, hiking, swimming, yoga, jumping rope, etc.) by using the “Submit your Activities Here” button. There are no activity or fundraising minimums to participate, however, prizes will be awarded for those individuals and teams who log the most hours, complete the most miles, and who fundraise the most money.
Thanks to support from our partnering sponsor, Live the Lake NJ, on Sunday, October 17 from 12:30 pm -3:30 pm, participants and their cheering sections are invited to join us for an awards ceremony and celebration at Hopatcong State Park, where we will celebrate another successful Lake Loop! Bring a chair and come prepared to enjoy a few hours of music, food, a beer tent, and fun! All registered participants will receive a voucher for a free food item, and the first beer from the beer tent is FREE. For all others, food and drink will be available for purchase. We hope you'll join us!
There are many reasons a virtual event made the most sense for the Foundation this year, but one thing we absolutely love about a virtual Lake Loop is how inclusive it is. Last year, we saw participation we had not seen in the past from folks who appreciated the flexibility to be active when they could in a way that made the most sense for them. We are excited to welcome past participants back and encourage everyone to spread the word to potential participants: the Virtual Lake Loop Challenge is back and even better!
