Want to make an impact – and get the “best seat in the house” - at the Lake Hopatcong Block Party? Become a volunteer and help make this year’s Block Party at Hopatcong State Park truly unforgettable! The Block Party is a perfect way to celebrate the spirit of community and support the lake we all love.
Every year, this incredible event brings together neighbors, friends, families, local businesses, and community organizations for a day of fun along the water and it simply wouldn’t happen without the amazing volunteers who make it all possible.
Ask anyone who has volunteered before, and you’ll hear the same thing: it’s fun, it’s rewarding, and it’s a fantastic way to meet great people who love Lake Hopatcong as much as you do. Whether you’re looking to give back to the community, earn service hours for school or work, or just spend a few hours being part of something positive and exciting, the Block Party is that perfect opportunity!
There are volunteer roles for everyone. You might help with event setup and breakdown, welcome guests as they arrive, assist with the always-popular free boat rides, or help lead activities for kids. Volunteers also help with the scavenger hunt, sell raffle tickets, and support many other parts of the event throughout the day.
Can’t make it on Saturday, May 16? No problem! We also need volunteers the day before to help get everything ready. Even an hour or two of your time makes a big difference. Ready to be part of the fun? Sign up for one (or more!) volunteer slots and invite your friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors to join you. As a token of our appreciation, we’ll be issuing each volunteer a coveted Block Party volunteer t-shirt (we can’t wait to reveal this year’s theme, stay tuned!).
