We have this annual shindig at Hopatcong State Park every year. You might have heard of it. It’s the Lake Hopatcong Block Party! Thousands of people come to enjoy more than 200 vendors, family-friendly activities and games, food trucks, free boat rides, and more.
One really great way to enjoy the Block Party is by volunteering! It takes over 100 volunteers to bring the Block Party to life, and volunteers consistently tell us that the event is fun, fulfilling, and instills a great sense of camaraderie. Lifelong friendships have been forged volunteering at the Block Party (and you get a coveted Block Party t-shirt too)!
Your help is greatly needed for jobs like setup and breakdown, greeting vendors and guests, staffing the children’s games and activities, coordinating the Scavenger Hunt and Passport Adventure program, selling 50/50 raffle tickets, managing the parking lot, and much, much more!
Whether you enjoy giving back to the community, meeting like-minded people, or maybe need to complete community service hours for school or work, the Block Party is an excellent place to volunteer some time before or after enjoying all the event has to offer! Already have plans on May 18? We’re also looking for preparation help the day before!
