Volunteers Needed for Lake Loop!

August 12, 2025| Community, Events, Recreation

By: Kari Constantine

We are looking for dedicated volunteers to help make our annual Lake Loop a success on Sunday, October 5 at Hopatcong State Park!

What is Lake Loop?

Lake Loop is a fun, non-competitive fundraising event that lets participants bike, hike, or paddle to support the health and future of New Jersey’s largest lake. Whether it’s a scenic 20-, 40-, or 62-mile bike ride, a 2 mile guided hike through Hopatcong State Park, or a 2.5- or 4-mile paddle on the lake, there’s something for everyone!

To make it all possible, we rely on the help of amazing volunteers and we’d love for you to join us!

Sign Up Today!

Volunteer Opportunities Include
  • Cycling route rest stop support
  • On-water & beach assistance for paddlers
  • Hiking trail assistants
  • Event registration, set-up, and check-in
  • Serving lunch

Volunteering is a great way to get involved, give back to the community, and enjoy a day at the lake. Ideal for high school students who need volunteer hours, scout troops, service clubs, or anyone who loves Lake Hopatcong. All volunteers will receive a commemorative t-shirt as well as a free lunch!

Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 5, and be part of something special!
