We need YOU on Saturday, May 21!

Back in its usual home in May, the annual Lake Hopatcong Block Party is one of the lake community’s largest celebrations, and we need your help to make it great!

It takes hundreds of volunteers to make this event hum – everything from set-up, to assisting vendors, helping with parking, staffing family-friendly activities, selling 50/50 tickets, to breaking down the event. It’s a massive undertaking, but with many hands, the Block Party becomes light work, and the reward is truly great.

When you volunteer just a few hours of your time at the Block Party, you become part of a uniquely special day at the lake with a fun bunch of people, like you, who really care about our community. Did we mention there’s a sweet t-shirt in it for you too?

Signing up is easy! Click the link below, which will take you to our Block Party volunteer registration page. Simply find a time you are available to help, check the box, and then scroll to the bottom of the page to find the “Submit and Signup Up” button. From there, you’ll fill in your contact info, and you’ll have the opportunity to leave a comment with what you prefer to do (or not do) that day and with whom - in case you were recruited by a Volunteer-in-Charge or are part of a larger group. We’ll be communicating with those that sign-up periodically and sending out final assignments and instructions closer to Saturday, May 21.

We will hold two, brief, volunteer trainings at Hopatcong State Park in the days before the event, and we encourage all Block Party volunteers to join us for ONE of these trainings where you will also receive your free t-shirt. Stay tuned for dates and times!
