Protecting and preserving New Jersey’s largest lake starts with YOU. As a member of the Lake Hopatcong Foundation, you and your support are critical to ensuring that this vital natural, recreational, and economic resource remains healthy and clean, now and into the future.

With your help, our efforts to implement water quality improvement projects, educate the next generation of lake stewards, bring our community together, and advocate for more lake protections and resources, continue to make a difference.

1. Protecting our water quality – We are protecting our lake from pollutants and preventing harmful algal blooms by implementing and collaborating on water quality improvement projects involving widescale oxygenation, dredging, habitat restoration, and native plantings.
2. Educating our future leaders – Nearly 2,000 elementary school students will learn about Lake Hopatcong and environmental stewardship during our spring field trips, and new this year, we will be expanding this opportunity to high school students in the fall.
3. Bringing our lake community together – We’re strengthening our community through programs, events, and initiatives designed to bring people together, encourage collaboration, and inspire!
4. Giving Lake Hopatcong a voice – We’re making our voices heard at the municipal, state, regional, and federal levels, advocating for more protections and resources for our lake, including, if passed, another Public Lakes Funding bill of $17M.
