We’re thrilled to welcome Anna Smith as the newest member of the Lake Hopatcong Foundation team!
If Anna looks familiar, that’s because she’s been a dedicated volunteer at our annual Gala and on our summer Eco Cruises. She has also spent the past two years as a lead educator for our Environmental Field Trip Program, where she shared her passion for environmental education through hands-on lessons in water quality assessment using macroinvertebrates and emphasized the importance of protecting our watershed.
Now, Anna is stepping into a new role as our Administrative Assistant, where she’ll help manage the office and support our communications and data management (basically, she’ll keep us organized and on track!).
A graduate of Stockton University with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology, Anna brings a strong foundation in environmental science along with excellent communication and organizational skills. Her experience includes work with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, where she promoted environmental awareness and community engagement, and with Mount Olive Family Dental, where she honed her administrative and customer service expertise.
Anna’s enthusiasm, attention to detail, and genuine care for both people and the environment make her a perfect fit for our team. She’s already lending her special brand of cool competence as she learns the many (more than you’d imagine!) programs and systems that keep everything running smoothly.
We’re so excited to have Anna bring her energy and expertise to this new role. If you see her around the office or at an event, be sure to say hello and welcome her to the team!
