Sneak a peek at our native plant sale

April 20, 2022| Community, Education, Environment, Events

By: Holly Odgers

Our annual native plant sale is almost here!

You don't want to miss the opportunity to grab some native plants at our 6th annual native plant sale.

The sale will include native favorites like milkweed, mountain mint, phlox, sunflowers, and more!  Online ordering starts April 28, but you can browse our selection of more than 45 varieties of New Jersey native plants right now at lhfplantsale.givesmart.com. If you click on the "categories" button, you can even sort available plants by deer resistant, likes shade, or pollinator.

Native plants generally require less water, less fertilizer, and little maintenance after they are established. They play a crucial part in the world's ecosystem and are important for the healthy populations of birds, native bees, butterflies, bats, and many mammals.

Pickup for online purchases, as well as an in-person sale for any remaining plants, will take place on Saturday, May 7, from 9 am - noon, at the Lake Hopatcong Foundation Environmental & Cultural Center, 125 Landing Road, Landing.

So, sneak a peek at our native plant sale and start planning for some spring planting!
