Stop by and see what’s growing

May 15, 2020| Community, Education, Environment, LHF Environmental & Cultural Center

By: Holly Odgers

National Public Gardens Week (May 8-17. 2020) celebrates the importance of building vibrant, relevant gardens committed to community enrichment and environmental responsibility through community engagement, sustainable practices, and conversation.

We would like to invite you to explore the native gardens at the Lake Hopatcong Foundation Environmental & Cultural Center, 125 Landing Road, Landing, in celebration of National Public Gardens Week (or any week!).

With a small winding path, benches for resting, a mass planting garden, a specimen garden, and interpretive signs throughout, there's a lot to enjoy on our small property.  We are even growing five American Chestnut trees in cooperation with The American Chestnut Foundation's restoration program. (Please note, our building is currently closed to the public.)

We hope you will stop by and see what's growing!
