Mark your calendar for an unforgettable summer evening! The Lake Hopatcong Foundation's annual Gala & Auction returns on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the beautiful Stone Water overlooking Lake Hopatcong. This year’s theme? A Sunset Soirée! Think hues of oranges, pinks, purples, and blues when you dress in your festive best and join us for an evening inspired by the colors of a Lake Hopatcong sunset.
This signature event brings together friends and supporters for a night of great food, lively conversation, and meaningful impact. More than a celebration, it's our biggest fundraiser of the year, supporting environmental, educational, community, and advocacy programs that keep our lake and community vibrant and healthy.
Guests will enjoy an hour of open bar, delicious passed hors d'oeuvres and gourmet food stations, spectacular views of Lake Hopatcong, and a vibrant cocktail-style atmosphere designed for mixing, mingling, and celebrating all that makes our lake community so special. Whether you're reconnecting with friends, meeting fellow supporters, or simply enjoying a summer evening by the water, this is a night you won't want to miss. Individual tickets are $165, and our Gala Duo ticket package includes all of the above for two people, plus your name listed at the event, a special pin, and two golden drink tickets (free drink redeemable at Stone Water, Alice’s, The Windlass, and The Beacon on another evening) for $400.
Want to increase your support and your impact? Businesses, families, and individuals are encouraged to explore our many sponsorship opportunities. Several include tickets to join us on July 16. See all the options available to you under “Sponsorships” on our Gala & Auction page.
We’re going digital! Be part of the celebration with your ad, logo, or message onscreen all night on July 16 for $200.
Our highly anticipated auction is entirely online, and we make it easy to participate! You can browse, bid, and win right from your phone, tablet, or computer. For those joining us on the night of July 16, bid helpers will be available to assist you with placing your bids.
Whether you'll be joining us at Stone Water or cheering us on from home, everyone is welcome to register and bid on an exciting collection of unique experiences, exclusive items, dining packages, travel opportunities, and more. The online auction opens a week before the gala, giving bidders plenty of time to explore and compete for their favorite items. Watch for additional details and sneak peeks in the coming weeks!
Tickets are available right now! Don’t wait to secure your spot, as this popular event sells out quickly each year. Visit our Gala & Auction page for a link to purchase tickets, register for the online auction, explore sponsorship opportunities, or place an ad in the digital journal.

We're launching our new Lake-Friendly Living Program, designed to help watershed residents learn how everyday choices and property care practices can support a healthy Lake Hopatcong.
Read more about the program HERE and complete the survey to see how lake-friendly your property is. Properties that meet the program's criteria will be recognized as Lake-Friendly and receive a sign to display. Those that don't qualify will receive personalized information and resources to help you make additional improvements to make your property more lake-friendly
As a special incentive, the first 10 people who complete the survey AND qualify as a lake-friendly property will be entered into a drawing for two complimentary tickets to our July 16 Gala & Auction! A second prize of four free tickets for a 2026 eco cruise aboard our Floating Classroom will also be awarded.
Whether you're already using lake-friendly practices or just getting started, the program offers practical ways to learn more about protecting New Jersey's largest lake.
