In celebration of National Trails Day, join the Lake Hopatcong Foundation for a guided hike through some of Jefferson Township’s most scenic landscapes. The hike will explore sections of the Lake Hopatcong Trail, the James Leach Boardwalk Trail, and continue across the footbridge onto scenic Liffy Island.
Adding a fun twist to this year’s hike, participants will also have the option to take part in a Trail Photo Scavenger Hunt along the route. Using a smartphone or camera, hikers can search for and photograph unique trail features, scenic lake views, native plants, and wildlife while enjoying the hike. The optional scavenger hunt is designed to encourage participants to explore and experience the trail in a new way.
